Directive will vs. Permissive will
The message tonight was titled God’s Leading and one of the many important points was how it’s so easy to end up in the permissive will category. The permissive will is known as plan B, what God allows to happen when we make mistakes. As opposed to the permissive will, the directive will is God’s original, purpose driven, i’m-going-to-enjoy-every-blessing category ie. plan A
This makes me think of how much of my life have been spent in disobedience because I was too selfish for my own good. I want to be in tune with God and not miss out on anything. I’m done searching after my own selfish ambitions.
